I Hate Smokers

Yesterday on the bus I saw this girl in a black T-shirt with glittery gold words that read: Smoking keeps me thin and gorgeous. I'm sure a totally disgusted look leapt on my face. That girl is not that thin and definitely not gorgeous. I felt like "accidentally" knocking into her when getting off the bus but I was stopping at the interchange so I knew I wouldn't get the chance. She alighted before me anyway.

Later in the night/morning I went to feed the cat and kitten around 1am. (The kitten played with my projection toy while I dangled it. It was so cute my heart almost exploded. Ha..) Before I left I suddenly saw something glow. A fucking bastard threw a cigarette butt down. It missed me and the cat (thankfully). I had a good mind to hurl vulgarities at the fucking ashhole but that would be unfair to the other neighbours. I wanted to shout something like, I HOPE YOU DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH WITH NOBODY BY YOUR SIDE AND WITH NO MONEY. But actually, that would probably happen anyway. Anybody willing to be with smokers will probably die before them since second-hand smoke kills more efficiently than first-hand smoke. And since cigarettes are expensive, and so are medicines and treatments for diseases associated with smoking, money will be gone quickly too. So please, don't die so soon.

Even later, I went home and read at my balcony with a neighbour's TV blasting away. I could hear all the sound effects - exciting show they were watching - but the dialogues were muffled. If the cats were meowing, they couldn't have been making more noise than that. After a while I heard something like sand or raindrops falling on my window grilles. I looked out and up my window. After a while I saw a guy on the top floor (about 6 floors up) standing by the staircase landing. I don't know why I kept on standing there looking. Maybe waiting for things to fall so I know where they came from. I looked at my window grille tracks but didn't see anything. Strange. Anyway I saw the stupid guy throw something down and heard the splitter splatter again. Just now when I was feeding the cat some idiot threw down otah remains. He had better keep it up because I intend to capture him in camera and report him for killer litter. Of all the stupid things to throw, he threw a cigarette butt that can be used to get his DNA. Now, who can I complain to about this asshead killer litter bug?

A new month

The chatty cleaning auntie who comes in the office to take away rubbish and who fed the cats is not working there/here anymore because they changed cleaning companies and the new company hired their own people. Lucky there's another lady who feeds the cats. But I wonder if they're hungrier than usual. I accidentally fed them quite a lot just now. Oops. And I had to stand there to stop the fatter cat from eating the other cat's share. So greedy..

The boss wants me to set up my own company so he can engage my "company" to do drawings for his presentations. And because he wants me to hire prison people because he can't contact them himself. (Something to do with the top people.) An ex-colleague is working with the prison in the yellow ribbon project so she told him she has people who can draw. So i'm supposed to become a boss. What joy. I feel like it's forced down my throat though. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. I hate people who want to do too much and mess up everything. When you bite off more than you can chew, you choke. What one wants to do with themselves is their problem but when it affects others it's just irritating.

Epiphany

Some people are so dense it's like talking to a wall. But then again, why did I even bother talking to a wall? I should accept the wall for the wall that it is and not bother. My bad.

Talk is cheap

Oh I have a quote from LOTR: The Two Towers that I watched on TV on Sat. Eowyn said to that disgusting guy. "Your words are poison." Seeing Gandalf and Pippin makes me happy. =) This is my favourite instalment of the LOTR trilogy because of Treebeard and the ents - the talking trees. I loved the scene of the ents kicking orc-asses. And I liked that deforestation was an issue raised. But it's sad that the problem was noted so long ago and yet so little, or at least still not enough, was done. The trees should be kicking man's asses as well.

But I digress. I wanted to blog this long time ago but didn't have internet access. Because I realise that talk is cheap and words are worthless. Why is it that when you say you're going to be 20 mins late, you only turn up 1 hour later? Giving me a shorter time does not make the waitig shorter. If you tell me 1 hour, or even 50 mins, I can make better use of my time. And will be less pissed. Much less. And why is it that when you say you're going to do something "tomorrow", it is still not done weeks later? Excuse me, did I put a gun to your head and demand that you do it by "tomorrow"? You gave the deadline yourself and you can't even keep it. Duh? You couldn't just say "within these 2 weeks" and take your time? Do you even think before you speak? Are you sure you did? Some people are just damn sloppy. If people don't see the need to keep their words I don't see why I should. But I'm a believer of "an eye for an eye" so I spare innocents. And I have integrity.

Joe Augustin was recently screwed over the last radio station he was in and is now on Morning Jam with Hossan and Shareen Wong. The story was that his partner was quitting because she couldn't juggle everything on her plate. They were on a one week break and were planning to return for a last week to explain to their listeners. But during that week of break the people on top decided to revamp the whole show and sacked him and there was no last week for them to even talk to their listeners one last time. Is going back on one's word the way of life? I'd rather be an outsider, thank you.

Anyway, I think this morning team is better than Hossan with Cheryl Miles, the girl who took over Maggie in Power 98's morning jam. Maggie went over to Gold.. =( Maybe she felt she was too auntie for the station but I like her auntie-ness with Hossan. So much funnier than Cheryl.. Cheryl makes Hossan boring. The new trio is funny too but maybe too many people so it feels like there's less talk. On their first day they were thinking of new names for the new morning team. A listener contributed "Cher, Joe and the 'Ho". So funny. I like. Ha.. I think they only used it that morning though. Yay I have reason to wake up earlier now. =)
