Idol night

Just watched the whole American Idol finale. It was pretty entertaining, I must say. Ha.. That new judge (Kara?)'s little show was rather awesome. Ha.. She really showed that girl she's better in every aspect. So funny she kept trying to cover up. Ha.. She can really sing indeed. I'm impressed.

Oh I really like Steve Martin's banjo band!

And I think Adam Lambert is already a rock star! So he doesn't need the title as much as Kris so stop abusing Kris already! People are so rude. I was watching, well, more of listening to, some of their performances on youtube and read some comments. Why do people feel the need to insult their idol's competition? Isn't it good that we have TWO great singers? More good music right? Kris is just a little quieter. It's easier to like a rock star because they're dynamic and make the audience high with all that screaming--less oxygen. Ha.. I think Kris did sing that last song, No Boundaries, better today than yesterday. Too nervous? It is a very nice song.

But my favourite song by him is Heartless, which he sang in the top 3 show.

Idol morning

I woke up early to see who won American Idol. And since the objective was just to see who won, I woke up at 0920. Heh. I'm damn glad I saw the announcement myself rather than hearing the result from another source!

Do not continue reading if you don't want to know who won.

. . . x y z . . .

I think everybody is shocked that Kris won. Ha.. I think he might have even felt bad for winning. It was so noisy with all the cheering when Ryan was announcing the result. I just heard him making noise and then heard him say "Kris Allen" and I went huh? because I wasn't sure what was happening and of course I thought Adam definitely won. Really? He won? Huh? I just saw Kris looking shocked and in disbelief and Adam smiling, huggings going on etc.. I kept waiting for Ryan to say something else and announce Adam as the winner. Plus, it took a while to sink in because I wasn't yet fully awake. Ha..

I like Adam's version of the last song, No Boundaries, yesterday. I felt bad for Kris cos his version in comparison was kinda weak.. Actually I only watched the last 2 shows so I don't feel very strongly for anybody but I like Adam's high notes. But because I'm a horrible person, I keep getting distracted by the thought that he is fat. Oops! No lah, I just have the impression that he was a little slimmer when I saw him at the beginning, just before all the serious singing on the big stage. Adam has fantastic presence onstage. Very confident and dynamic, which is what I think Kris lacks. Other than that I think he's really good too. Quite unique voice. I really, really hope he doesn't end up like Ruben!

I feel bad that I haven't bought David Cook's album. Oops. =P

Actually American Idol just creates a hype for a while. I'm sure they want to be in the industry for the long haul so whether they win or not, they still have a long way to go and lots of things to do. Daughtry wasn't even in the top 3 or even close, but he's doing quite well now.

Oh yah, I agree with Simon about Adam's first song yesterday. Very theatrical and reminded me of Phantom of the Opera. Ha.. But I liked it.

Boohoo

I miss Survivor already.... I was looking at some videos on youtube and I realised that Stephen reminds me of Josh Groban. They look a little alike. I think JT kinda reminds me of him too, just because he is so nice.

I'm so bored with my life.

Can I start over?

To a Butterfly

by: William Wordsworth (1770-1850)

Stay near me—do not take thy flight!
A little longer stay in sight!
Much converse do I find in thee,
Historian of my infancy!
Float near me; do not yet depart!
Dead times revive in thee:
Thou bring'st, gay creature as thou art!
A solemn image to my heart,
My father's family!

Oh! pleasant, pleasant were the days,
The time, when, in our childish plays,
My sister Emmeline and I
Together chased the butterfly!
A very hunter did I rush
Upon the prey:—with leaps and springs
I followed on from brake to bush;
But she, God love her! feared to brush
The dust from off its wings.

Yay! *clapclapclap*

JT won Survivor~~ ^^ In the first challenge of today's (or yesterday's) episode, Erinn was so close to winning and I kept going nononono nonononono... Ha.. The editting probably made it seem closer than it actually was but I think in reality she did come really close. She looked like she was damn quick with the puzzle.

Yay so happy he won. Yes I mentioned that already. There was this time my father was saying what the audience in shows were cheering for the contestants for. Well, because we are kind people. It's not like the money would have gone to us anyway. If there's money, or good stuff, being given away, I'd rather see it given to somebody I like and/or who deserves it. Although I do know some of those audiences cheering on tv are probably just cheering for fun.

Going back to Survivor, it's so nice to see good people winning. I wonder if they purposefully select contestants who are good people at heart, who would in turn vote for deserving people or it just happened by chance? What if they have an "Evil Survivor" and choose psycho, vindictive contestants who would vote for the least deserving person? Nobody would want anybody to win. So everybody would hate the show. Oops. Ha.. Oh, I think that might have happened before. The season where somebody brought a golf club. I mean, they didn't deliberately vote for the less deserving person but the final two were horrible people that I disliked, I think. Can't really remember.. But anyway, they added this additional feature for viewers to vote for a person to get $100,000 (or whatever amount it is) probably because sometimes the person who wins isn't who most people deem most deserving. At least that shows that there are more good people than bad in this world.

Aw, every time Survivor ends, even if I'm happy for the winner or at least to know who won, I'm sad because I can't see these people that I like.. So annoying..

Withdrawl symptoms

I recently visited the Cathay website while I was in the office, with my earphones plugged in, listening to BBC Radio 7, which is not a news channel but more of a story channel. Anyway, I don't know if it was because I had earphones on, when you visit the site, it starts playing a movie trailer and it sounded a lot like in the theatres, so very good surround sound kinda quality. I was like, wow it feels like I'm in the theatre watching a movie! I haven't seen a movie in the cinema for AGES and I'm so dying to watch SOMETHING! It made me feel like watching Star Trek, which is the trailer on the website now, and that's a movie that I wouldn't normally even consider watching. Either I'm that desperate for a movie fix or it's a really marketing strategy to promote a movie. I played the trailer several times in the office and it totally distracted me. Ha..

And yes, I've been listening to BBC Radio 7 in the office. I can't find a description on their website. Is it called radio dramatisation? This is rather late but last Friday I happened to hear the last episode of Heated Rollers and it was really funny. These 3 (I think) women making fun of stuff in general. Broadcasts can be downloaded from the website but they are only up for a week so erm, if you want to listen to it, you only have 15 hours left, starting now. Oops.

Ok I'm done here. Ciao!

Shocker

Did you guys watch the Star Awards? Is anybody else shocked Joanne Peh won?? I was so shocked I can't really remember what everybody else's reactions were. I know she herself was shocked. Was the whole place just stunned into silence? Did her fans remember to cheer? But I really like her second dress and the winding bracelet. Nice.. I need to lose weight. =P

Little Children

Ah, Les Choristes was on Okto tonight, or Saturday night. *clapclapclap* But Seed of Chucky was on Ch 5 and Billy Boyd voiced the "Seed" and there's no way I'll even borrow it to watch because it's disgusting and I know I will eventually buy Les Choristes so I decided to watch Seed of Chucky and Les Choristes during the commercials. In the end I didn't really finish watching Seed of Chucky because, again, it's disgusting, Billy Boyd didn't really have that big a part and actually, I might have seen the ending and there might not have been much after that commercial break.

So I watched the last parts of Les Choristes and ah, it is so good! Made me cry. *sniff* And inspired me to revise my french. There was a french girl from Paris in class the other day and my teacher itchy mouth asked me how to say some colours in french. Lucky I remember most of them. Phew. Except green actually. Which is rather ironic because that's the colour of my new hair extensions. Ha..

- - -

I saw this link on the origin of the Red Riding Hood. A little disturbing.. Actually very disturbing to me. Didn't really need that after watching Seed of Chucky.. But it's quite interesting. I love knowing the dark underlying meanings of children's stories/rhymes/etc. Which is why I love The Pillowman.

... once upon a time, there was a woman who had baked some bread. she told her daughter, a young girl, to go to her grandmother with a warm bread and a bottle of milk. the girl left. at a crossroad, she met the wolf, who asked her where she was going. 'i'm going to my grandmother with a warm bread and a bottle of milk'. 'which road will you take? this road, or that road?' asked the wolf. 'i will take this road', the girl answered. 'good, then i will take that one'.

the wolf gets to the grandmother first, kills her, puts some of her flesh in the pantry and a bottle of her blood on a shelf.
enters the girl.
the wolf asks her to eat the flesh and drink the wine (blood), which she does, unknowingly that she cannibalises her own grandmother.
the wolf then asks the girl to undress and get into bed with him. when she asks where to put her clothes, which is mentioned one by one item, she is told to throw them into the fire because she won't be needing them anymore.
well into bed, the girl questions grandma's unusual looks; hairy, broad shouldered. she asks why he has such a big mouth, and he gives the answer we all know; 'to better be able to eat you'.

Twisted

Just watched Survivor. I knew there was a possibility that Tyson would be voted out but watching it happen, I couldn't help laughing out loud. Ha.. He is a jerk.. And Coach is a little psychotic. Sierra's weird too, though. But..they're all still kinda interesting to watch.

Anyways, I borrowed The Pillowman, the play by Martin McDonagh, from the esplanade library before work and I've already finished it because it's SO DAMN GOOD! Extremely twisted, but really, really good. There's this part about a little girl swallowing razors and I couldn't bear to swallow while I read it. Urgh. Disturbing but I like that it has many stories within it and I like the themes of the stories. The play was so good in 2007.** When I read it I could imagine the actors playing the characters onstage. Except this guy whom I haven't seen before the play. But especially Adrian Pang and Michael Corbidge. I wanna watch it again... Shall buy the book.

**Was looking it up online and realised that it was brought back by popular demand last year Mar-Apr. Damn.. How come I didn't hear about it at all?

Scream like a crazy fan

Aaaaahhhh!!!

Ok the picture isn't very good. Anyway, Yahoo answers is great. Somebody gave me the answer! I googled the name given (John O'Hara) and found a Straits Times article. Oops. Not sure how I missed that.. And the very helpful person gave me a link to a post on the blog Artzine, which is apparently a magazine for the art scene in Singapore. And there's a picture of John O'Hara there. =) Quite cute actually. Ha.. Ah, he is Australian.. Unfortunately there's a more famous writer/actor by the same name so it's difficult to find more info on him. I'm just happy that I now know who's the actor. But feeling quite dumb because that information isn't quite as elusive as I thought. Oops.

I wanna be a ROCK STAR!

I just watched Cats the musical. =D It's better than I expected because I saw it on TV several years ago and thought it was a little boring. Might have only watched a little of that because I don't remember much from that. Just cats singing..

BUT, obviously I have changed my mind. Ha.. There's this rock star cat that was awesome and which everybody loved because everybody was cheering for him. Haha.. Couldn't catch his name in his song so I call him the rock star cat. His song just kept going blah blah blah blah is a curious cat. But he's very obviously a rock star. And a very confident one too. Ha.. Of course I've checked online and found out his name.

Rum Tum Tugger is a ROCK STAR cat!
(Broadway cast of Cats performing live on the Today Show)

When I was watching it in the theatre I really felt like screaming like a crazed fan. Haha.. I think that was the point of having that little screaming cat towards the end. To scream for the audience so they won't have people screaming in there. =)

That was David Hibbard as Rum Tum Tugger. Watch the clip before reading the next sentence please.. Didn't notice the snorting till I read the comments. The comments said the John Partridge was better in the film version of it so I went to find it.

I think the first one seems closer to what I heard in the musical. I guess film is just different. I'm a very loyal person so I think my favourite will still be the one I just saw at Esplanade. Ha.. I have no idea who he is!! I searched online and found nothing. Only this website that has a list of performers of Rum Tum Tugger. I'm not sure the one for Singapore is the current one. I couldn't find anything about that actor online. Anyway since I was sitting so far from the stage, I might have made him better looking in my mind. Ha.. Urgh but I want to know who he is!!

There was another cat song that I like, about McCavity the mystery cat:
(Macavity aus dem Cats-Video © Really Useful Group)

This seems very close to what we saw just now.

Macavity! Macavity's a mystery cat
He's called the Hidden Paw
For he's a master criminal who can defy the law
He's the bafflement of Scotland Yard
The Flying Squad's despair
For when they reach the scene of crime Macavity's not there!
...

Anyways, wikipedia says
Andrew Lloyd Webber has stated that the part of the Tugger is intended to be an homage to Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. This homage is apparent in the way he moves on stage in the original Gillian Lynne choreography and the costume styling. His type of cat was said to be Maine Coon, because of his wild mane and being portrayed as being much bigger than the other cats. According to his song, he apparently would do pretty much anything to annoy his owners.

So I was right to call him rock star cat. Ha.. But that was obvious lah.

He is considered the ladies cat, and the rebel of the group. He loves the limelight, while at the same time he enjoys being seen as an individual by separating himself a little from the pack.

Yupyup I noticed that most of the time he is alone (yah looking at him a lot. ha..) but he joins the others for some of the dancing too. There was this part where some other stuff was going on in the centre and the cats were just sitting around watching. He was sitting on this big pipe and a groupie cat was kneeling beside him and erm pawing him. Ha.. He just flirted with her a little and let her play with his tail. Think she eventually fainted or something. I like how all the cats stayed in character and just did their own thing at the side. Like playing with each other like real cats. The story wasn't that fantastic, just bits and pieces of stories, but the music was great and the dancing and jumping around. And I love my haughty rock star cat. Ha.. But his part is a little more tiring because I noticed that he seldom sits down (because standing up is easier to show attitude) while most of the other cats could sit or sprawl on the floor. Well, at least he doesn't need to be doing somersaults. Having an attitude is still easier than that. =)

Ohoh, it would be very worth it to get the front row seats because you'll get a lot of interaction with the cats. Tum Rum Tugger got down and danced with a lady. Afterward, he got down again and shook hands with some people too. Other cats were all over the place too. Towards the end of the interval he was on stage with some of his groupies flaunting his stuff. Ha.. Before the show the usher was telling us during the interval the cats would come out for us to take photos. Didn't realise it would be a mini-show. Thought it would be the actors and not the characters. Unfortunately we were too far to take any good shots. =(

There was this part where all the lights went out. It was after the interval and I hadn't seen my rock star cat since the interval. I whispered; "Where's my rock star cat?" When the lights came back, there he was! Ha.. Boliao..

CHORUS:
The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat

TUGGER:
If you offer me pheasant, I'd rather have grouse
If you put me in a house, I would much prefer a flat
If you put me in a flat, I would rather have a house
If you set me on a mouse, then I only want a rat
If you set me on a rat, then I'd rather chase a mouse

CHORUS:
The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat

TUGGER:
And there isn't any need for me to shout it

CHORUS:
For he will do as he do do

TUGGER:
And there's nothing doing about it

SOLO:
The Rum Tum Tugger is a terrible bore

TUGGER:
When you let me in, then I want to go out
I'm always on the wrong side of every door
And as soon as I'm at home, then I'd like to get about
I like to lie in the bureau drawer
And I make such a fuss if I can't get out

CHORUS:
The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat

TUGGER:
And there isn't any need for you to doubt it

CHORUS:
For he will do as he do do

TUGGER:
And there's no doing anything about it

SOLO:
The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious beast

TUGGER:
My disobliging ways are a matter of habit
If you offer me fish, then I always want a feast
When there isn't any fish, then I won't eat rabbit
If you offer me cream, then I sniff and sneer
For I only like what I find for myself
So you'll catch me in it right up to my ears
If you put it away on the larder shelf

CHORUS:
The Rum Tum Tugger is artful and knowing
The Rum Tum Tugger

TUGGER:
Doesn't care for a cuddle
But I'll leap upon your lap in the middle of your sewing
For there's nothing I enjoy like a horrible muddle!

CHORUS:
The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat
The Rum Tum Tugger doesn't care for a cuddle

The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat

TUGGER:
And there isn't any need for me to spout it

CHORUS:
For he will do as he do do

TUGGER:
And there's no doing anything about it!

Disclaimer: I am very boliao..

I made my Pet Society score my birthdate. Ha..

I don't know what's wrong with the colour. It looks alright when I open it. Oh damn I should have taken the shot with the birthday cake I have in the kitchen. It cost me 2000 coins..

Another one that I took few days ago..

I should do something more useful with my life..

Marcello Zuffo’s Movable Kitchen Design

This is damn cool. And very fun. Ha..

...the overall design can be shifted and manipulated to adapt to whatever task is required of the space. The contemporary aesthetic allows for the user to be creative with what would otherwise be a boring, rectangular kitchen floor plan, and encourages an interesting degree of user interactivity between Zuffo’s design and your day-to-day preferences. In fact, you might as well change up the space every few weeks just to try something different.

The workmanship has to be very good though. Otherwise things might start swinging about and you'll get a lot of bruises..

On Your Birthday

No cake or candles here today
Or presents for you to open
Just love from friends who want to say
Happy Birthday, and that we're hoping
Somehow you can see and know
That we have not forgotten you
That we still remember, even though
You've departed from our view
And if you see us here below
And wonder why we care
It's just because we want to show
That a part of you is still here
You live within each memory's heart
And so you remain, though we're apart

I think Mr Miyagi's son has the same birthday as Heath Ledger.

Curious findings

I noticed something at the office. Sitting at the pantry area was a glass-bowl-ful of sweets. I had a smaller glass bowl of sweets at my desk before I left on my long leave. I guess they missed my candy bowl enough to copy me. Hehheh.

Stumbled upon (clicking on links in blogs) this website "Stuff White People Like" and it looks interesting enough. There was this post about tattoos that White People like and this link to a website dedicated to "fingerstache". Hadn't even heard of it. =P People have tattoos of mustaches on their finger(s) so they can put it to their faces to look like they have mustaches. So funny. Ha..

Oh that reminds me of a story I heard on the radio a long time ago. There was this angmoh guy in America or somewhere who wanted to get a tattoo of his name in Chinese so he went to a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown and asked the Chinese restauranteur to help him translate his name. So the Chinese guy writes down the Chinese characters on a piece of paper for him. Angmoh guy goes and gets the tattoo. Few years later, the angmoh guy went to Thailand (or some asian country with beaches) and while on the beach, he noticed people laughing at him. Yah, obviously something to do with the tattoo right? Somebody ended his bewilderment by telling him his tattoo reads "可口可乐" (Coca Cola if you can't read the Chinese characters). Chinese guy with a sense of humour. Haha..

Oh I just read something super funny on e White People blog:

The second type of white person travel is Third World. This is when they venture to Thailand, Africa or South America. Some do it so that they can one up the white people who only go to Europe.

But like with Europe, white people like to believe they are the first white people to make this trip. As such, they should be recognized as special and important individuals.

That’s right, by going to a country, riding around on a bus or train, staying at a hotel or hostel and eating - they are doing something important for the world.

If a white person shows up in your country, you can make them feel fantastic by saying how you’ve never seen a white person before, and that you are amazed by their iPod - “a device that plays many songs? impossible!”

They might give it to you, then you can sell it for profit. Repeat as necessary.

New white stuff

Just started using my new white LG viewty. =) But don't know why its bluetooth won't connect to my comp. And I'm using a new 3G sim card so all my contacts are still in my old phone. I've only added a few contacts because I'm not used to the touchscreen yet. Am I supposed to format my microSD card first? Bah will try again tomorrow..

The other new white stuff is my super expensive white double neck guitar that a stranger bought for me on fb's rock legends. Heh.. It's the most expensive guitar available there and I had only been able to afford the second most expensive one. What a generous stranger. Ha..

Sigh..wish I can play with my phone.. Oh yah another new thing that's half white is my new pouch that I bought for my new phone.. It's white with green stripes and reminds me of Juno. =)

Bugger

Oh shit. I accidentally found really cute stuff that I want..

SuperHeadz Demekin Fisheye 110 Camera

Rolleiflex Mini Digital Camera
How cool (and cute) is this? Answer: Very!

A 5 Mega Pixel camera with autofocus technology, the Rollei Mini allows you to shoot from a distance of 4 inches to infinity, saving each image to a Mini SD Card.

SuperHeadz Shironeko Cat Holga in a Can
This makes meowing noises!

Ikimono Camera
I actually saw this at Bashaar at Bras Basah Complex. Almost bought it..but couldn't decide which design to get. Limited choice anyway. I saw the cat design on a website but it was sold out. The item at this urbanoutfitters is blind-boxed so cannot choose which design you want.

SuperHeadz Secret Book Camera
A camera disguised as a book. So fun. Ha..

I can't wait till I'm rich enough to buy junk just because I LIKE IT.

Rockin'

Been playing Rock Legends on fb. It's not that exciting but I like it. =) Satisfies my rock star craving. Haha.. Anyway I've levelled up quite a bit and just today these two people having been buying me out of my contract from the other. It's like record companies competing for a rock star. How cool. Haha.. I think it's just that having high level members in their band gives them advantages in battling bands and I'm oddly cheap to contract, compared to other high level people. They're helping to jerk up my price tag. =)

P/s: LHM, EQUIP YOUR KEYBOARDIST!

Little Miss

Been playing on fb a lot these couple weeks due to extreme boredom at work. Anyway, saw a pic that somebody tagged on a "friend" that had many little miss and mister men characters. I went to kaypoh and one of them was renamed as "the tiny and dangerous one". I didn't know there was a little miss tiny. Tiny and dangerous somemore. Sounds like me. Ha.. (And E. Page has the nickname "the tiny Canadian" =)) Don't know what the dangerous part was about, but I found the original series of Little Miss Tiny (Mr Men and Little Miss 1983) on youtube:

But she's pink.. I think I prefer Little Miss Curious:

"But, why...??" Sounds like me too. Ha..

The 1983 series sound like perfect bedtime stories... Oh yesterday I paid the cats downstairs a visit and I'm pretty sure they're the same old cats! The kitten still stares at me the same way. Ha.. Unfortunately, when I went to see them on my way home just now, with no food to distract them, the damn kitten (well, actually a kitten no more) started whining very loudly. Hasn't it gotten used to people already?? Ingrate.. Not sure why but I feel like the dumb "kitten" is a boy. Oh did I just answer my own question? =) Mommy cat just kept sniffing my hand to determine if it was something she wanted to eat. She really should have reincarnated as a piggy..

When I grow up I want to be like Ellen Page

Happy Birthday to Ellen Page! who turns 22 today. Ya, she's younger than me. But barely.. (Can I stay 24 forever? 25 sounds so old.. Boo..)

I've only seen two of her films but I absolutely Love Juno - which is pretty obvious - and I've liked Shadowcat aka Kitty Pryde in X-Men before she played the character in X-Men III: The Last Stand. I wasn't so sure I liked her as Kitty at the beginning of the movie, but eventually she really kicked ass and had some pretty cool lines. I think she called Juggernaut dickhead. =) Yes that's considered a cool line to me. Ha..

And after Heath Ledger's incident, I read that he was working on directing his very first film (or something close to that) and he intended to get or had asked Ellen Page to be in a starring role. So that definitely scores a lot of points. I hope I didn't hallucinate that article..

Plus, I've only heard/read good things about films that she did. I've been wanting to watch Hard Candy but didn't want to watch thrillers over Christmas.

I saw this picture >>>
while searching for pictures and found
this article saying
The star of teenage pregnancy drama comedy "Juno" Ellen Page is said to be cast in a new psychological thriller for Mandate Pictures. According to Variety, the acclaimed young actress is set to star alongside Cillian Murphy, the actor who portrayed Scarecrow in blockbuster superhero film "Batman Begins".
I kind liked him as scarecrow (the psycho) in Batman Begins. Heh. I like the his last scene where Batman scared him and he rode off on his horse like a scared little girl. Haha..

Oh she apparently has a nickname 'The Tiny Canadian".. She is 2 inches taller than me.

!!!

Oh my god. There're cats back at the same place downstairs! Not sure if they're the old ones or a new cat came to have kittens there (hot spot) or the same cat got pregnant again. The cat is making a lot of noise now.. A neighbour just fed it and left. I feel like going down to pay it a visit. Ha.. But I think the dying-down-meowing will just begin again. I'll visit it in the morning. =)

In other exciting news, I GOT MY HAMBURGER PHONE!! Pictures will come later because I haven't had a chance to take proper (or any) pictures of it.. And I wore my hamburger phone shirt today. =)

Tadaa!

"Spring cleaning"

I was looking at the blogs that I had favourited to clear those that I don't read anymore, and because I've read all my regular ones. I had intended to delete this one but I saw this post about Heath Ledger, dated same as my own on 22 Jan. Hers is a repost from 31 Jan, 2008. I agree with almost everything except I don't know Brad Renfro.

...For me when someone talented, interesting and special dies regardless of whether I knew them on a personal level, or admired their talent from a far, I grieve. The last two weeks have seen the death of two talented young men first Brad Renfro and then Heath Ledger. The minute I learned of each I had the same initial reaction.

1. Utter shock (stomach drops)

2. Disbelief (Heart races)

3. Curiosity (Reading as much as I could on initial reports)
...

I wonder why I don't read this blog often..

Oo tomorrow is the big lunch.. Yum.. =) I feel a little cheapskate. =P

Junoverse.com

I was surfing around for my "musique blog" and found some cool Juno stuff. =) How do I make an emoticon with a wider grin than that? If you click on the "ears" tab you can see some videos of Juno songs. They're really cute. The songs. And so's this (if it works):

Found here. I read in one of the youtube video comments that this commenter went to school with her. Why don't I have cool schoolmates like that? =P Oh I think I saw a pri sch classmate at lunch today. She didn't see me though. I met her in NUS few years ago so I know she remembers me.

I had put more of the jargon jenerator but they seem to all play the same clip so I'm putting the whole thing here.

When I previewed it it sounded like lots of Junos talking at the same time. Reminded me of Agent Smiths. Ha..

I think I fixed the code.. But they'd end up talking at the same time. Dang. Click on "fo shizz" yourself k?

I uploaded a few songs from the soundtrack into my phone and set one as my ringtone. I was listening to my mp3 player while walking to buy dinner and suddenly I was wondering why I was hearing 2 songs playing at the same time. Haha..

Oo I just found Juno hamburger phone widget.. I'm so going to get a hamburger phone. I think the funniest scene is where the father asked Juno who's the father and when she told him, he made a face and went, "Really?", like it's a damn weird choice and her best friend got excited and went, "Yeah! I know, right?" And Juno looked annoyed like, what's wrong with him? You have to watch it.

Yes, I'm obsessed and I care not!

In other news

I really hope wonderous things happen under Obama to prove naysayers, racist or otherwise, wrong. Coming from a person who knows next to nothing about politics and economics, I think him inspiring people to want to work harder and be better people is perhaps just as important as all the policy stuff.

Remember Me

Remember Me

To the living, I am gone
To the sorrowful, I will never return
To the angry, I was cheated
But to the happy, I am at peace
And to the faithful, I have never left
I cannot speak, but I can listen
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard
So as you stand upon the shore
Gazing at the beautiful sea, remember me
As you look in awe at a mighty forest
And its grand majesty, remember me
Remember me in your hearts,
In your thoughts, and the memories of the
Times we loved, the times we cried, the
Battles we fought and the times we laughed
For if you always think of me, I will
Have never gone.

Anon.

I was searching online for images and read a bit more about Heath L. and got sad again.. I think we were cheated of a talent. I hope remembering him does inspire me to not settle for mediocrity and make the most of myself. And I should do whatever I want that makes me happy, even if other people disagree. Screw them. Oh I wore all black and my joker card earrings today in remembrance. There are people I think who deserve to go more than him.. =X

Nostalgia

I was reading somebody's blog yesterday and she was talking about how she had her email add since she was 14 and she was looking at her old emails. I so want to look at my old emails! But my oldest emails are only from 2004 and most of them were just some forwarded mails. I can't remember any of my passwords to my old emails. I wanted to login to my neopets account but I can't remember the password and I can't even remember which email add I used to sign up for it. Urgh. Damn. Damn damn damn.. I had so many points and stuff in that account.

I lost internet connection for several months in Sec2 and lost contact with a couple people I had been emailing. I can't even remember some of their names. Oops. =P IRC was actually quite fun for talking to random-and-yet-not-so-random people..

It has oddly really felt like a new year

I can't believe my first post of the year was so boliao.. Oh well.

Fyi, since I just read the last comment, if you want to find a post containing something, you can type the keywords in the box on the top left corner of the blog and click search blog.

I was out with a friend, "Dawn", today and we were talking about getting English names. I bug people to get and yet I don't use one. =P I think I want somebody to do it with me. Ha.. I can't really decide on a name anyway but non-Chinese people really have trouble remembering my name so it's sometimes frustrating. Plus even Chinese people mishear my name. Somehow I can't bring myself to tell people verbally to call me Ye. It sounds too happy. =S It's just that it might be a little difficult to get used to another name. I was thinking about calling myself Tiny. Ha.. Many people like to call or refer to me as the small one but Small doesn't sound like a name. "Tiny" at least sounds a bit more name-like. But do I really want people who work under me in future (obviously in future) to call me that? Maybe I can spell it as Tyni..? Does that look like it's pronounced tee-nee?

On my way home I saw a couple of things that we talked about earlier and I felt like I was in the movie Bedtime Stories. The Adam Sandler movie where the bedtime stories his nephew and niece come up with happen in real life. I saw a cat in my neighbourhood, which had been almost completely devoid of cats for almost a month. The cats downstairs disappeared too. I quite missed them. And in my block's void deck, somebody was cutting a girl's hair. As in a proper haircut with the proper cloth thing that keeps the hair away from your clothes etc. ??? It was kinda weird..

Last of all, I'm very happy Heath Ledger won the best supporting actor in the Golden Globes for his role of Joker in The Dark Knight. Unfortunately I didn't watch the award show because I had a cold and went to bed early. I wore my "gambling" earrings which had on each side a dice and 2 cards, the top one being the Joker card and the back one an Ace to celebrate his win. I hope he wins the Oscar too because I think he deserves to win at least one Oscar. ...I hope I didn't just jinx it..

A pointless post

I suddenly remembered a pri sch classmate's name and searched her on facebook and amazingly I did find her. I think she's a doctor now. Well, she was only the smartest girl in school. But I thought she'd study overseas though. Oh but the most surprising thing is that we have a mutual friend! It's just somebody from aki I don't really talk to though. Ok the end. Night..

Colourful knee

I slipped and fell in the bathroom couple nights ago. There wasn't any bleeding (can't say the same for cursing) but my knee is blueblacked, with dark purple spots and there's a small patch of red. This is the same knee that I always rest my weight on on the bed when I close my windows. Ouch.

In other news, the polyclinic called my place and left a message that my results were out, asking me to collect them. I wasn't home so I couldn't ask if I need to see the doctor asap or they're just informing me, even though I already made an appointment for January. My original appointment was on next Tues though. Did I mention that I do hope I have the blood disorder? Otherwise I would have wasted my money on the tests and then what if they want to do more tests to see what went wrong with my blood if I don't have this blood disorder? And it's kinda cool to say I have a blood disorder. Ha.. I feel fine. I don't think I need medication or anything even if I have it. I just hope it doesn't cost me much more money. I know I have to pay the doctor's consultation fee again.

Yawn..so sleepy...zzz..

Yay!

From Getty Images

Yay! Bob won Survivor Gabon! Yay! I'm so happy! My precious sleep was well sacrificed. =) I slept less than 5 hours. Was yawning all day. But it was all worth it. Hurhur.. Omg I cried when Susie won that last immunity challenge and it looked like everybody was going to vote off Bob. Urgh she so didn't deserve to be there. All she could say in her attempt to win votes was that she tried. Like other people didn't try? And she only lost to Bob by one vote in the end! Urgh. She did nothing. People only voted for her because she did nothing, and thus did not need to lie to them. Thank goodness Randy voted for Bob and not her! Randy was pissed that Bob gave him a fake idol but in the end he realised Bob was only trying to save himself, did not intend to humiliate him, and was truly furious at how the others laughed at him. In a way, he stuck to his "alliance" with Marcus, Charlie and Corrine to the end.

I don't know why Matty seems to be angry with Sugar.. She was just giving Bob a chance (which I'm thankful for. ha..) and Matty lost the tie-breaker himself. I thought he would vote for Sugar. Sugar did come up with some really good schemes and outwitted.

Oh I'm also very happy that Nick and Star won the Amazing Race. I can't believe the team I supported from the beginning won in the end. Unfortunately, Toni and Dallas, the other team I like, lost their money and passport in the second last leg and lost a top three spot. They weren't even there in the finale because of the lost passport (I guess). Pity..

Yay for good people!

Survivor

I just watched the repeat telecast of Survivor again. Heh. That was definitely the bestest tribal council I remember! Although I don't really remember many from previous seasons.. It's the finale next week. I hope Bob wins! I don't think he needs the money but he definitely deserves the title. He was almost voted out quite a few times but his alliances always got voted out before him and things changed in his favour. He's good and even has luck on his side. I think he already has 3 definite votes on the jury. Everybody loves Bob. Except maybe Randy..who is looking really funky with his new haircut. Ha..

Looking forward to next week! Fingers crossed...

Turning around

I just watched the best episode of the current season of Survivor to date! Hurhurhur... The evil people are finally being voted out! Yay! It was so exciting. Crossing my fingers hoping things go the way I want. Sugar said she doesn't care if the strongest person in the game stays because she thinks it should be a good person who wins in the end. I absolutely agree. It's so nice that people in the game think that too. I hope Bob wins!

Good things are happening.. Not great and fantastic, but good enough (for me) to hint that 2009 might indeed be way, way better than 2008. Fingers crossed. My blood test results aren't out yet but I won't be collecting the results till January so I can ignore it for a bit. Unless it's really bad and they call me up to tell me. Eh...I hope not. Actually I'm hoping I do have the blood disorder so I didn't just waste my money. Just hope that it's not a serious problem. Preferably that I don't even need medication or anything.

Oh my foreign friend just had twins last month! They were premature but are doing better now. So exciting. Too bad I can't see them. Is it me or are a lot of people getting pregnant and having babies? I just saw in the papers that Ricky Martin has twins from a surrogate. Dooce is pregnant too. Maybe so many people died because of the baby boom these few years..

Last night I went downstairs to buy something and fed the cat and kitten on my way. The runaway kitten ran away again. Guess it was bored. Or maybe taken? Since it's so cute and friendly. When I came back the food was all finished and I tried to play with the kitten to see if it's still scared of people. Yes it is. It always backs away in the way that its head and neck moves back but most of the rest of its body doesn't move. Maybe because it was dark and it couldn't see clearly that it was my hand, it was curious about my hand and used its paws to prod me. I thought I'd be scratched but the nails weren't out and they were just soft. So cute.

The blogger whose blog I took this from stole it off the internet too. Heh.

Out of order

Bugger. My blood test apparently showed my anemia got worse. So now the doctor wants me to do the proper test for Thalassemia (or Thalassamia or Thalassaemia). I now know the name of the blood disorder because it's on the slip of paper. I was supposed to have another doctor but I was the very last patient and the previous doctor finished earlier than the doctor I was supposed to see. Still very crappy =P but nice lah. He remembered me as the one who wrote the symptoms on the paper. He still suspected I have Thalassemia and tried to explain what it was. Something about alpha and beta... I forgot what it has to do with drowning but I remember something about being breathless very easily. I think the point was that I'll take longer to recover from anything. To which I kept saying, so this thing is quite harmless right? He still insists on having me take the test to confirm it. Which means yet another blood test. Damnit. More blood?? I asked if they could just use the blood that they just took and he went, ah, it's the needles! And he helped me call the lab to ask if they had any of my blood left. Bugger. They didn't. And it was too late to take today so I have to go back on Tues and then go again a week later for the results.

After some googling on the blood disorder, I learned that there's Thalassemia major and Thalassemia minor. Most likely I have minor. The doctor also said if it's only found out now then it must not be very severe. People with Thalassemia major need to have blood transfusions rather frequently. Sounds like that rich crazy girl's disease in Huang Jin Lu. For Thalassemia minor, I don't really know what treatment it needs. Hopefully nothing.. Probably just to make sure I don't get too severe anemia? Oh wikipedia says Studies have shown that Thalassemia Minor often coexists with other diseases such as asthma, and mood disorders. Hmm.

How come I've had blood tests before and nothing showed up before? This blood disorder is supposed to be genetic. If I don't have it I'm going to be annoyed to have spent so much money on these tests.

This year totally blows.

Trying to pull through 2008

Damn had been sick for more than a week. Have to go for a blood test tomorrow because I went to the polyclinic last week and the doctor made me take a blood test because I'd had fever for a few days. Had to wait so long for the blood test results. The doctor was quite nice and friendly but I kept thinking...废话真多.. Luckily it was an Indian so if I accidentally blurt it out he might not understand anyway. =P I already told him I had a painful sore throat and he still told me he likes to make small talk. I even wrote my symptons on the piece of paper. I said "pain" so many times I feel like I was whining. -.-" You can't speak? Pain. You didn't eat anything today? Pain.

The previous night my nose was so blocked I couldn't sleep till it started to clear around 5am so I was really tired and wanted to go home and sleep. When he told me my blood test results (anemic and some suspected blood disease) he kept telling me, don't be sad. ?? How happy was I supposed to be? He's very crappy.. I almost asked him if he was very bored. He was reassuring me that the blood disease is not very common but not very rare either. It's not confirmed so have to take another blood test tomorrow. Hopefully it's just because of my drug allergy. I told him my eye is swollen because I took aspirin and he said it doesn't look swollen. ... Maybe both eyes were a bit swollen because I hadn't slept. I'm too broke to be sick. Shit.

Oh the kitten that ran away from the catnappers suddenly reappeared a few nights ago. It got used to running around big spaces and is running around playing with mommy a lot. I went down to put the kitten up and it kept jumping down to want milk from mommy or run around. But the good thing is that the runaway kitten isn't scared of people anymore. It's friendly and cute. It didn't hiss or struggle or make noise when I carry it. So cute. But they meow A LOT early in the morning. They woke me up at 7plus yesterday and 6plus today. Yesterday they meowed for a really long time so this morning I went down to shut them up. Guess the kitten had enough of running around. It was so peacefully quiet after that...

I think nobody here watches Survivor so I'm going to talk to myself now. Bob is so amazingly good at making fake idols that it's really funny. Hurhur.. I hope he wins all the rest of the immunity challenges and get to the final three. Most of the other people remaining are horrible.

The Thirteenth Tale

I hate finishing books that I like.. Boohoo. I wonder why the book was tagged "gothic" in the online book "community" that I'm in. Shelfari, in case you're wondering. My "friends" in that community haven't updated their shelves since they first logged in (?), including the one who added me in the first place. Oh how good I am at digressing. Ha..

This is one of the very few books that captivated me from the first page. I remember in JC, probably during the first 3 months, our prose literature teacher gave us a sheet of paper with the first paragraphs of a novel and said if we weren't drawn by it then we probably shouldn't take literature because that was the book we were going to study. I thought it was boring. But I still took literature and got A for it at 'A' levels. Aha! What good is getting an A if I can't brag about it? Haha.. That lit teacher is my favourite angmoh teacher. I was also going to say my first but then I remembered that one we had in Sec 3. She was crap.

Lit lessons were more enjoyable than other lessons because we usually get the aircon rooms. I think it's because the angmoh teacher melts in hot weather. Even when we're half frozen he'll still say it's too warm. ??! Why most of us never thought to bring jackets, I don't know. Seriously, why I didn't think of that? But I like that we always get the nice rooms with aircon because of whatever reason. Heh. And he sometimes makes his lessons more interesting too. One lesson he told me to go out of the class, wait for a while then come in later. Don't know why he picked me. I wasn't even sitting in front of him. After that he popped his head out and told me to go back and then made me describe the scene in the classroom, which was the rest of the class laughing and me very confused? And apprehensive of saying something stupid. Ha.. Anyway there was somebody hiding behind the TV cupboard and I forgot what the exercise was for. =P Something about the narrative not knowing what the other characters knew.

Anyway, this book is really intriging. Kinda reminds me of The Pillowman, in that there's a lot of storytelling. Pillowman has many stories in it but this only has one. But this one has many twists and turns. Actually it's a rather sad story. But I want to read it again to see how the "truth" revealed at the end fits in with the story. I think part of the ending is a little odd though..but I've never really liked endings. The only ending that I remember liking is Sue Townsend's Adrian Mole: The Wilderness Years. That's because Adrian's life was so pathetic (and erm, so was he..) thus the believably happy ending was very much a relief. I can't not read to the end once I start reading it because I get so depressed and the ending is the only cure to that depression.

The other thing that I like about this book is that there are many mentions of classics so it makes me want to read those books. Jane Eyre was mentioned a lot so I definitely want to read that.

Dr. Clifton came. He listened to my heart and asked me lots of questions. "Insomnia? Irregular sleep? Nightmares?"

I nodded three times.

"I thought so."

He took a thermometer and instructed me to place it under my tongue, then rose and strode to the window. With his back to me, he asked, "And what do you read?"

With the thermometer in my mouth I could not reply.

"Wuthering Heights - you've read that?"

"Mm-hmm."

"And Jane Eyre?"

"Mm."

"Sense and Sensibility?"

"Hm-m."

He turned and looked gravely at me. "And I suppose you've read these books more than once?"

I nodded and he frowned.

"Read and reread? Many times?"

Once more I nodded, and his frown deepened.

"Since childhood?"

I was baffled by his questions, but compelled by the gravity of his gaze, nodded once again.

Beneath his dark brow his eyes narrowed to slits. I could quite see how he might frighten his patients into getting well, just to be rid of him.

And then he leaned close to me to read the thermometer.

Perple look different from close up. A dark brow is still a dark brow, but you can see the individual hairs in it, how nearly they are aligned. The last few brow hairs, very fine, almost invisible, strayed off in the direction of his temple, pointed to the snail-coil of his ear. In the grain of his skin were closely arranged pinpricks of beard. There it was again: that almost imperceptible flaring of the nostrils, that twitch at the edge of the mouth. I had always taken it for severity, a clue that he thought little of me; but now, seeing it from so few inches away, it occurred to me that it might not be disapproval after all. Is it possible, I thought, that Dr. Clifton was secretly laughing at me?

He removed the thermometer from my mouth, folded his arms and delivered his diagnosis. "You are suffering from an ailment that afflicts ladies of romantic imagination. Symptoms include fainting, weariness, loss of appetite, low spirits. While on one level the crisis can be ascribed to wandering about in freezing rain without the benefit of adequate waterproofing, the deeper cause is more likely to be found in some emotional trauma. However, unlike the heroines of your favourite novels, your constitution has not been weakened by the privations of life in earlier, harsher centuries. No tuberculosis, no childhood polio, no unhygienic living conditions. You'll survive."

He looked me straight in the eyes, and I was unable to slide my gaze away when he said, "You don't eat enough."

"I have no appetite."

"L'appétit vient en mangeant."

"Appetite comes by eating," I translated.

"Exactly. Your appetite will come back. But you must meet it halfway. You must want it to come."

It was my turn to frown.

"Treatment is not complicated: eat, rest and take this..." - he made quick notes on a pad, tore out a page and placed it on my bedside table - "and the weakness and fatigue will be gone in a few days." Reaching for his case, he stowed his pen and paper. Then, rising to leave, he hesitated. "I'd like to ask you about these dreams of yours, but I suspect you wouldn't like to tell me..."

Stonily I regarded him. "I wouldn't."

His face fell. "Thought not."

From the door he saluted me and was gone.

I reached for the prescription. In a vigorous scrawl, he had inked: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes. Take ten pages, twice a day, till end of course.

Sweet poem spotted

Saw this really sweet poem in a blog. The backstory is that the "chicken" and the "bee" used to go out but split up amicably. He had previously written a poem of her as a bee.

To my gorgeous beary chicken:

There once was a chicken who lived in a shoe
And he simply didn't know what to do
One grey cloudy day he felt really glum
Cos a girl chicken stopped him from touching her bum
So phoned up his friend, a small stripey bee
And said "Dudely dude! I'm sad! Woe is me!"
The bee said "Now, don't you worry my dear,
Dry your tears and don't cry, never worry, I'm here!
For soon the girl chicken will just leave your mind
And you'll be touching lots of other behinds!"
The chicken still wailed, banging fists on the floor
So the bee said quite sharply "Come on now! No more!"
She went to his shoe and rang on the bell
The chicken, he answered but he just looked like hell.
She took her bee arms with their stripes down the side
She stepped a bit closer and opened them wide
The chicken came in for a big squeezy hug
And was happy that he had stayed friends with this bug
He realised that one day he'd be smiley again
But come rain or shine, the bee'd still be his friend.

Love your friend

The bee.

Aww..

There are many things wrong with many, many people

I Hate Smokers

Yesterday on the bus I saw this girl in a black T-shirt with glittery gold words that read: Smoking keeps me thin and gorgeous. I'm sure a totally disgusted look leapt on my face. That girl is not that thin and definitely not gorgeous. I felt like "accidentally" knocking into her when getting off the bus but I was stopping at the interchange so I knew I wouldn't get the chance. She alighted before me anyway.

Later in the night/morning I went to feed the cat and kitten around 1am. (The kitten played with my projection toy while I dangled it. It was so cute my heart almost exploded. Ha..) Before I left I suddenly saw something glow. A fucking bastard threw a cigarette butt down. It missed me and the cat (thankfully). I had a good mind to hurl vulgarities at the fucking ashhole but that would be unfair to the other neighbours. I wanted to shout something like, I HOPE YOU DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH WITH NOBODY BY YOUR SIDE AND WITH NO MONEY. But actually, that would probably happen anyway. Anybody willing to be with smokers will probably die before them since second-hand smoke kills more efficiently than first-hand smoke. And since cigarettes are expensive, and so are medicines and treatments for diseases associated with smoking, money will be gone quickly too. So please, don't die so soon.

Even later, I went home and read at my balcony with a neighbour's TV blasting away. I could hear all the sound effects - exciting show they were watching - but the dialogues were muffled. If the cats were meowing, they couldn't have been making more noise than that. After a while I heard something like sand or raindrops falling on my window grilles. I looked out and up my window. After a while I saw a guy on the top floor (about 6 floors up) standing by the staircase landing. I don't know why I kept on standing there looking. Maybe waiting for things to fall so I know where they came from. I looked at my window grille tracks but didn't see anything. Strange. Anyway I saw the stupid guy throw something down and heard the splitter splatter again. Just now when I was feeding the cat some idiot threw down otah remains. He had better keep it up because I intend to capture him in camera and report him for killer litter. Of all the stupid things to throw, he threw a cigarette butt that can be used to get his DNA. Now, who can I complain to about this asshead killer litter bug?

Kitty update!

Raining so heavily now.. The cats went inside the pipes to hide. I fed them around 2pm and I got clear pictures of the kitten! Yay. *clapclapclap* Ha.. Got a video too.

Kitten (and mommy) from Ye on Vimeo.

The kitten seems less scared when it's daytime. And maybe because it sees me putting the food there, which it eats too, and mommy is there too. Mommy keeps sniffing everywhere for food and her face came so close to mine it was kinda scary.. At least she did lie down quietly after a while so I can watch the kitten. I waved the strip of plastic off the cat food packet that was torn off and watched the kitten's eyes follow it around. When I stopped the kitten stared for a while and started crawling towards it gingerly. When I moved the strip again it backed off. When I didn't move it for a long time, it moved nearer and then suddenly banged it paw in an attempt to scare it. Obviously it surprised me and my hand, with the strip, flew up. And the kitten looked very surprised. Sheesh. At least it didn't pounce on my hand and scratch me. I read on a website that you shouldn't wiggle your fingers to play with kittens because then it would associate your hands with prey and always scratch your hands so should use a toy.

I've been throwing balls of junk paper there for the kitten to play with. Otherwise it only has its own tail and mommy's tail to play with. I've seen it chasing its own tail before. So cute. Ha.. Just now it pinned down its tail and pawed it. So funny. And cute. Ha.. Haven't tried successfully to play with the kitten with my little projection toy. I wonder if it would be interested in watching bubbles.. But I don't want to accidentally poison them since the bubbles might burst and settle on where they eat.

Everybody looks weird on the gala show...

It's time for...

...another kitty update! Ha.. Still feeding the cat(s) but not so much now because I don't want to overfeed her and I'm quite broke. They still meow now and then but I just take it that its mommy and kitten communicating. Last night (or this morning) at 3am they were meowing quite a bit. Don't know if they were hungry or something else. Mommy was walking around on the wall and then she kept jumping up and down the wall. Like she wants to go somewhere (to look for food?) but kitten keeps crying for mommy so she went back. I decided to go down because I'm so kind-hearted. Ha..

Usually when I walk out of the lift lobby to the area mommy cat would meow and come towards me if she's on the ground. I saw her sitting in front of the wall on "defence mode", like she's ready to pounce if attacked. I followed the direction of her intense gaze and saw a stray dog, who upon seeing me bounced away. I was firstly very surprised to see a stray dog because I haven't seen one in a long while. There were a few around when we first moved here because construction was still going on nearby and not many people moved in already. Secondly, I was super relieved that it went away on its own because I don't know if it would attack me if I attempted to chase it away.. It's quite small for a stray dog but still quite big for a dog. Hmm, why aren't there any small stray dogs?

Anyway, the cat and I watched the dog trottle away. After a distance it stopped and looked back, saw me still there and continued going away. Phew. When it was gone the cat came towards me, meowing softly. Don't know if she was being considerate because it was late at night or she was scared.

Then I went to the wall place to put some food for them. The dumb kitten was scared (as usual) and started hissing. When it realised it wasn't fooling me it started crying for mommy. Which is quite loud. Being in an enclosed place the meows might have been amplified. I didn't want to disturb the neighbours so I tried to hurry and also try to get the cat to jump up to get the food. The cat always follow me around on the ground meowing and standing so close I'm afraid I would accidentally step on her. I always have to try to "tell" her the food is up there so please jump up! It would be easier to put on the ground but I wanted to feed the kitten too. It'll only eat if mommy's eating too. And if nobody is near. The other day I put the food there and went to throw away the packaging and when I went back the kitten froze and stared at me with its big terrified eyes. I quickly went away. Well at least it didn't scamper away. Yesterday I watched at a far far distance. Kitten so cute.

I took a picture of the kitten the other afternoon. It was sleeping on the pipe directly under the hole. It wanted some light I supposed. I just put my camera over and shot blindly. It hissed at the camera. So fierce!

There's a lot of disgusting rubbish on the ground inside. Yuck. No wonder it stinks so bad. I cropped them out of the picture. It's so not cute like that. I read online that laser pointer is good for playing with cats but I couldn't find a laser pointer so I bought this little projection thing that's like a small torch and projects a picture. Doesn't really work.. They're not interested in it. But the other evening I saw the kitten on the pipe under the hole staring at the wall and I shone it on the wall. The kitten got such a fright it fell off the pipe. Haha.. It was so funny. Ok that's a bit evil but it was still funny. How would I know it would be so scared?

I think the kitten comes out more now. Just now I saw from my balcony the kitten was trying to play with mommy's tail. But mommy was just lying there. Sleepy? I would gladly entertain the kitten if only it wasn't so scared of people. Stupid kitten..
